Wealthspire Taps Head Of Trust Services

Wealthspire Advisors LLC, a New York City-based NFP company and independent registered investment advisor (RIA), has appointed Jonathan Connolly to the position of managing director of trust services, the company said.

Connolly will be responsible for delivering in-house trusts and estate solutions to ultra-high-net-worth families and family offices.

“As we continue to expand our family office services, we are excited to add Jonathan to the executive team,” Heather Flanagan, director of the firm’s Family Office Services division, said in a news release. “He brings nearly 30 years of experience delivering trusts and estates solutions for wealthy families in need of highly complex wealth transfer tools.”

Prior to joining Wealthspire, Connolly served as senior vice president and managing director of Comerica Bank & Trust, where he oversaw the fiduciary sales, trust administration, and middle office teams across North America. Prior to Comerica, Connolly was executive director and head of Trust and Estate Solutions for UBS. He also held senior leadership positions at RBC Trust Company of Delaware, PNC Bank, and TD Bank.

“The opportunity to grow Wealthspire’s trust services, build our own trust solution, and expand the ways our team can serve clients is truly exciting,” Connolly said in the news release.

NFP, a New York City-based insurance broker and consultant backed by private equity firm Madison Dearborn Partners, created Wealthspire in May 2019 when it financed a merger between Sontag Advisory and Bronfman Rothschild. Wealthspire Advisors  oversees nearly $6 billion for ultra-high-net-worth clients and has a total of about $16.7 billion of assets under management across a national platform of 19 offices in 10 states.
