Geneva Hotel World’s Priciest At $67K Per Night

For the exclusive few who are rich enough, the "Royal Penthouse Suite" at the Hotel President Wilson in Geneva offers what may be the pinnacle in hotel accommodations at $67,000 per night, according to a new study.

Wealth X, a research organization focusing on the ultra-high-net-worth, teamed with travel consultants Kiwi Collection and Elite Travel International to compile a list of hotels that lead the world in price, as well as "taste, opulence and amenities," said Tara Loader Wilkinson, editor of Billionaire, a Wealth-X publication.

The suites often include such amenities as extensive libraries, wine cellars, a full-time butler, gyms, room designs by prominent architects such as I.M. Pei, multiple bedrooms and baths, hot tubs and saunas, according to Billionaire.

The Hotel President Wilson suite, at 1,800 square meters, was followed at the top of the list by four hotels with slightly less spacious suites:
• The Ty Warner Suite at the Four Seasons Hotel, New York City, $45,000 per night for 400 square meters.
• The Hilltop Estate Owner’s Accommodation, Laucala Island Resort, Laucala Island, Fiji,  $40,000 per night for 1,200 square meters;
• The Penthouse Suite, Grand Hyatt Cannes Hotel Martinez, Cannes, France, $37,500 per night for 180 square meters.
• The Royal Villa, Grand Resort Lagonissi, Athens, $35,000 per night for 410 square meters.
