Wealth management advisor Bradley Bruce has launched mForce Capital in Fort Worth, Texas, and at the same time joined Sanctuary Wealth’s network of partnered independent firms, the companies announced today in a news release.
The four-person mForce team was formerly with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management. Known as the Bruce Wealth Management Group, the former Merrill Lynch practice managed $1.22 billion in client assets.
Before founding mForce, Bruce spent his entire 33-year career with Merrill, rising to the positions of managing director, senior resident director and wealth management advisor. He said his practice needed a new partner to scale the business further.
"Our practice has grown to the point where clients need more complex solutions than we had been able to offer, and we wanted to be a little more creative in helping them," Bruce said in a news release.
Bruce, the CEO of mForce, said he performed his due diligence by looking at broker-dealers, wirehouses, and every other available option before deciding to partner with Sanctuary Wealth.
“Sanctuary really gives us the flexibility to shop the whole market to find the most appropriate solutions for [each client’s] particular situation,” Bruce said.
He is joined at the new firm by his former Merrill Lynch team, including Joanna Horton, who serves as mForce’s COO and wealth management advisor; April Bierle, who is the director of office relations and a senior client relationship manager; and Cheryl McCarson, who is a senior client relationship manager.
mForce Capital is the eighth team from Texas to partner with Sanctuary Wealth by launching as an independent advisory. The team brings Sanctuary’s total new assets this year to more than $6.5 billion.
"It's really a testament to what Sanctuary Wealth has become in such a short period of time," said Jim Dickson, CEO and founder of Sanctuary Wealth, in the news release. "Texas is an extremely strong market for us, but we will continue to expand into additional centers of wealth around the country throughout the coming months."
Headquartered in Indianapolis, the Sanctuary Wealth Group includes subsidiaries Sanctuary Advisors, a registered investment advisor; Sanctuary Securities, a broker-dealer; Sanctuary Alternative Solutions; Sanctuary Insurance Solutions; Sanctuary Global; and Sanctuary Global Tax and Family Office.
